Welcome!
Hi students!
Today we continue with Academic Year 2012-13 but in a new class with a new opportunity to meet more people, their countries, and their majors within an environment that will strengthen our oral and writing communication in English.
As every new experience, there is a lot that needs to be discussed. Our first class meeting will include:
An icebreaker activity in which we will introduce ourselves by mentioning our names and the country we come from. The tricky part is that we will do this in a circle and each person should repeat the names and countries of everyone who has spoken before them! For example, I will start by saying Lisa Ortiz from Puerto Rico. The person to my right will say "She is Lisa Ortiz from Puerto Rico and I am _______". This will continue until everyone has been introduced. Yes, I will be the last to try to remember and repeat every student's name and country!
Before this activity, I will talk about the structure of this course, and guide you to the website that will be used. The syllabus and major assignments are posted on this forum, along with other important information so please remember to visit periodically.
We will also learn about technology instruments that will be used in this class such as Dropbox and Google Docs. Before leaving, I will briefly explain the Diagnostic Exam that will take place during our next class (Wednesday, January 16th, 2013).
