4/8: Source Synthesis

Hi Students! I hope you all enjoyed the weather this past weekend.

Today we will be working with something related to source synthesis. But before this, it is important to note that the following three sources are the ones that should be used for the GRP:

1. Meddling in Swedish success in nuclear waste management

2. Burying globally,acting locally: control and co-option innuclear waste management

3. Preliminaryconceptual design of a geological disposal system for high-levelwastesfrom the pyroprocessing of PWR spent fuels

These sources were the ones that received most of the votes when you paired and completed the Choosing Sources Chart. We'll revisit the articles, specifically #1 today and do the following:

1. Read as much as possible for about 10 minutes.

2. Try to complete the GRP Summary Worksheet as best you can, for about 10 minutes.

3. Write an entry in the GRP Annotated Bibliography Template for this source for about 10 minutes.
4. Write a paragraph describing our solution for the GRP Topic: Deep Geological Disposal

This week we will try to get as much done in class as possible for your GRP Annotated Bibliography. This template/assignment is due on Friday, April 12th in class. We will try to do everything for the GRP in class NOT as homework, BUT this could change.

Homework:

Follow the model we have done in class today and start doing the same for your IRP sources. The completed IRP Annotated Bibliography Template is due on Saturday, April 13th at 12 Noon.
